Age-Friendly Minnesota (AFMN) invites qualified individuals and organizations to apply for Community Grants beginning Monday, January 9, 2023.
Community Grant applications are due by Monday, February 6 at 10:00 a.m.
Community Grant awards will fund efforts to create, improve or expand innovative systems, programs, built environments and other initiatives that contribute to age-friendly communities.
Background
The Age-Friendly Minnesota (AFMN) Council, in cooperation with the MN Department of Human Services, is launching a new grants program to help communities work on age-friendly projects and become better places for all Minnesotans to grow older.
The Council is committed to making diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility (DEIA) the foundation of AFMN, including this grants program.

- AFMN will hold a virtual Applicant Conference where potential applicants can learn more about the Community Grant and RFP and will have an opportunity to ask questions. Date and time to be announced soon.
- Written questions will be accepted only by email to DHS.AgeFriendlyMN@state.mn.us by Monday, January 23, 2023, 12:00 p.m. Central Time. Written responses will be published at Age-Friendly Minnesota website within three (3) business days of the Grant Applicant Conference. More information will be included in the RFP for Community Grants, which will be posted on the Age-Friendly Minnesota website on January 9, 2023.
